The Wellbeing factor is closely linked with Fair Deal. If the scores for Fair Deal are low, the first place we’d recommend you look is Wellbeing.
If Wellbeing is also low, it may be that employees are being worked too hard and feel they are not being fairly remunerated for it.
Monthly activities include squat and plank challenges, or going for a team walk at lunchtime. The company has two mental health first aiders and external speakers come in regularly to talk about diet, exercise, mental health and mindfulness. There are online pilates, yoga and boxing classes.
Each staff member has a mentor to go to for guidance, career development and support. A buddy system means people can connect as a group or individually. Quiz nights take place via Zoom, along with pizza- or cocktail-making evenings and salsa dancing. Daily chats happen on the firm's WhatsApp group.
Staff are encouraged to complete and update a career-development dashboard to include training, development, skill level and ambition. At career-development meetings, they can discuss their goals and training with a dedicated team. A job and responsibility matrix allows them to compare their job level with others and see what is required to progress.
