New ideas are what The Fostering Network seeks from its team of almost 100 staff. It wants fresh thinking in all areas, including how and where people work, services to members or how it makes a success of its strategy.
Based in London, the network was set up more than 40 years ago by foster carers who wanted to share their experiences and learn from each other. It has become the UK's leading voice in foster care and is a vibrant membership organisation that provides a one-stop-shop for everyone involved in fostering. It advocates for positive change and aims to raise outcomes for young people who are looked after, as well as to back up the carers who help to transform their lives with support and resources.
As an organisation working with young people who have had a difficult start in life, the network recruits people who have had experience in the care system. It offers a friendly working environment that encourages a family atmosphere. The organisation is staffed by people who are passionate and value-driven, and they contribute to a supportive workplace where staff collaborate to offer the best possible service to the fostering community.
Foster carers and young people are at the heart of what the network does, so it continually consults and shares ideas with its membership to ensure the organisation is investing time and resources in the most effective way.
