VIVID’s vision is “more homes, bright futures” and at the heart of this is helping customers improve their wellbeing and life chances. Formed in 2017 following a merger, VIVID is a leading provider of affordable homes, providing services and support to 72,000 customers in the South. VIVID has 32,000 homes across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and West Sussex and an ambitious target to build 17,000 homes over the next 10 years.
VIVID’s mission would be impossible if it wasn’t for the great people working within the organisation. Whether involved in the maintenance and repairs of customers’ homes, supporting customers directly or supporting those who do, all members of staff have an important role to play. As well as providing a place its customers can call home, VIVID helps create opportunities for people to improve their lives and communities too.
VIVID understands how important it is for its employees to enjoy their job, and to feel appreciated, valued, and rewarded for their work. So, central to delivering VIVID’s strategy has been a focus on fully engaging with its 850 employees. VIVID’s values are to work as one team, encourage challenge and change, and to deliver a great customer experience, and supporting its people’s physical, mental, and social is at the heart of what it does.
The organisation offers its employees discounted gym membership, medi-cash, retail and leisure discounts, and health coaching is offered on an individual basis for those suffering with chronic conditions, life-limiting illnesses and poor mental health.

The organisation asked its teams to have some fun and make videos to show how proud they are of what they do and the impact they have on our customers experience. It had a huge response with videos parodying Bake Off, M&S adverts, ABBA, game shows, Johnny Cash, and fairy tales.
This job is good for my own personal growth
VIVID’s internal talent programme targets non-managers who have a desire to develop into management. It has a rigorous selection process involving online tests and an assessment centre. It also has a job mentoring and rotation feature in the programme as well as virtual delivery of management skills by our own trainers.
The leader of this organisation runs this organisation based on sound moral principles
The senior management recognise and reward employees across VIVID for living the values. Monthly winners of its Values Awards are communicated at the Let’s Talk VIVID monthly events and receive ‘love to shop’ vouchers. It also details the behaviours that the organisation wants all levels of staff to demonstrate in order to live its values.
