The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is the independent charity that cares for the world's greatest Shakespeare heritage sites in Stratford-upon-Avon, and promotes the enjoyment and understanding of his works, life and times all over the world. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is a self-sustaining charity which generates 98% of its income through the support of visitors, donors, volunteers and friends. The Trust runs a world-class, award-winning programme of formal and informal educational programmes and literary lectures, to encourage the appreciation and study of Shakespeare's works, and the advancement of Shakespearian knowledge on an international scale. As an organisation, the Trust utilise every opportunity to communicate their vision, mission and values. The simplicity of their values make them unique and easy for staff to remember and their vision, mission and strategic plan is communicated at every one of their bi-yearly briefings. They also have posters made and hung around their back of house areas to remind people why they do what they do.
