Hot on the heels of the electric weed killer company's award-winning hand-held device are plans for more products to replace damaging chemical herbicides.

Instead, they will help restore soils and water, promoting greater biodiversity and protecting health.

The West-Midlands-based company, which has more than 40 employees on the books, is poised for growth. It wants to become the world's number one method for commercial weed control, and to achieve that, it's looking to build "a team that has the tenacity to solve global challenges."

RootWave offers its staff a working environment that is energetic and challenging while also being supportive and inclusive.

It's introducing 'Evolving Values' to ensure they always stay relevant. And the onus is on staff to set them. Four employees and two leadership team members will be selected every six months to set the tone for everyone's behaviours and actions for the next period.

The company is keen for staff to have their say on day-to-day operations and what can be improved, introducing an employee focus group and anonymous feedback box. Staff input has led to a strengthened focus on health and safety and a more efficient meeting set-up, with fewer, more-streamlined meetings.
