Robinwood Activity Centre looks to lead by example when developing children's teamwork skills.
The Todmorden-based company has three residential activity centres in Lancashire, Cumbria, and North Wales, welcoming more than 40,000 seven-to-11-year-olds every year.
From archery and caving to zip wires, the company looks to offer school group activities that will challenge, get children working together and stimulate their imaginations.
It prides itself on "having the very best staff" – a committed team it believes is behind a re-booking rate of more than 93%, and it continues to invest in its employees.
Most staff can choose to work a four-day week, and loyalty is rewarded with a financial bonus payment after 10 years of service. Loyalty also counts in its generous 'House Purchase Scheme'.
All employees can get an interest-free loan - £2000 for Todmorden and Cross Lane staff and £6000 for those at Barhaugh Hall – and if they stay at the company for more than three years, they never have to pay it back.
Additional perks include bonuses for staff with good customer feedback, flu jabs, and free hot meals on cold days. And if they recommend somebody to the company, they get £300 once the new starter has completed three months.
