Premier set itself a mighty ambition when it was founded in 2003 – that of transforming the quality of the pensions industry. Based in Croydon, London, and with an office in Bristol, the company aims to deliver exceptional service and drive innovation in pensions, employee benefits, and risk and wealth management.

The same honesty and openness of approach drives employee policy, with people's development and wellbeing of premier importance. The desire to create a happy and inclusive workforce is built into the fabric and culture of the company.

A new entrant to the Best Companies accreditation process, Premier has nearly 200 employees and both its offices recently underwent a renovation, during which the Croydon premises expanded into a second floor, giving the team space for greater collaboration and flexible working.

Premier is committed to delivering a personal and bespoke experience to each of its clients to build a partnership that stands the test of time. It has top industry awards under its belt including the ServiceMark from the Institute of Customer Services, awarded to firms based on customer feedback and employee engagement with customer service strategy.

A learning platform is accessible to all and training is given to managers on how to encourage career progression. Premier staff have access to a wellbeing schedule, there are six trained and accessible on-site mental health first aiders, and an employee assistance programme provides proactive support

Premier raised funds during the first lockdown for the Cavell Nurses Trust, the charity supporting UK nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants, both working and retired, when they're suffering a personal or financial crisis often due to illness, disability, domestic abuse and the impact of the coronavirus.
