Pentagon Play work with schools and nurseries across the UK to design and install their dream outdoor learning environments, improving the educational play experience for the children attending the settings. It all began with two life-long friends and a humble grass-mat. Some years ago, two 6-year-old boys met in the school playground and became best friends. Every weekend, Andy and Michael played in the woodland near where they lived, turning it into a playground for themselves and any other children who might turn up to see what was going on. They would build dens, stage battles and generally get up to the sort of adventure and mischief that young boys often do. Fast-forward to today, they have built their playgrounds for over 25,000 schools and nurseries around the UK, improving educational play value for around 500,000 children each year. Pentagon invests in their people and each person has an allocated training budget of £1,000, which is refreshed each year. They also hold regular departmental training days and have amazing team building activities which includes a trip to Mallorca. The company is growing massively, and Pentagon is now the number one school playground provider in the UK. The ambition is to be the biggest in the industry and the best company in the industry to work for. Everyone has a clear vision to work towards and a platform that enables them to do this effectively.
