Eighty per cent of the products that go into the hand-packed gift hampers produced by Hampers.com come from British suppliers.
The Oxfordshire-based company, which employs about 50 people, puts together hampers filled with food, beverages and lifestyle products from hand-selected producers and makers. Its gifts are bought by individual customers and corporate clients around the world, bringing joy directly to their recipients' doors.
The company is proud to do all that as a carbon-neutral business and says it cares passionately about being an organisation for positive change. The projects the carbon-offsetting supports provide solar-power generation in India, wind power in Uruguay, efficient household cookstoves in Malawi and reduced deforestation in Indonesia.
Hampers.com's offices and warehouses are based in Milton Park, in Abingdon. Many of the office team work flexibly between their homes and the buzz of the friendly HQ, where the environment is open and supportive.
The entire team receives Bupa private healthcare, along with an extra day off for birthdays and one "duvet day" per year. Bonus schemes ensure staff are rewarded for excellence.
Each year, the company hosts HamperFest, its summer party, which brings staff and their partners together for food, drinks and live music.
The company's values are to be best in class in what it does, respectful in the way in which it does it, creative in how it gets there, while having fun along the way.
