Founded in 2015, Ampa is a group of legal and professional services companies based in Birmingham, with offices around England and in Glasgow. Sectors in which it operates include banking, healthcare, sport and charities.
Employees can develop their skills and knowledge, wherever they are on their career path, through its online learning platform 'The Academy'. The firm provides additional support to those seeking professional qualifications, with 50 employees currently on a qualifications pathway, as well as providing 1-2-1 coaching through its internal mentoring scheme.
The firm aims to remove unnecessary barriers to recruitment and strive for an equitable workforce, routinely assessing the demographic of its people to spot trends and blockers.
Ampa has also committed to elect a member/senior leader to be accountable for gender and racial diversity and inclusion, representing Its newly formed 'Diversity and Inclusion Engagement Group'. This is comprised of volunteer ‘champions’, who, in 2022 will run workshops and campaigns to find areas that the firm can progress.
As well as this, the firm has prioritised appointing one racially diverse board member to increase its representation within its governance.
