TOPdesk helps its customers to run top-notch service desks for their own customers. The company began more than 25 years ago as a simple ticketing tool for IT help desks and now offers not just great software but everything needed for enterprise service management.
Founders Frank Droogsma and Wolter Smit started out working as help desk operators to raise cash while at university. The Dutch duo felt that the job could be done more effectively using software, so they rolled up their sleeves and started coding in an attic. Their aim was to help companies make their services better, simpler and smarter.
