The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is the only automotive professional body in the world. They assess and register motor industry professionals across more than 60 countries. The IMI delivers more than 250 qualifications worldwide and aims to set, uphold and promote professional standards. Employees are encouraged to fulfil corporate values wherever possible and a staff recognition and appreciation scheme rewards those who demonstrate this. Colleagues can nominate their fellow workers and one winner is picked per month to receive a voucher and a thank you card. As a special thank you for the company's successes in 2016/17, all staff were given an extra day's holiday. Teams are encouraged to work together across the business on cross-functional projects, such as business development and web development. A monthly communications meeting keeps the workforce updated on company issues but with a fun side; one meeting fell on a dress-down day and followed a cowboy theme!
