The Chelmsford Learning Partnership (CLP) is a thriving multi-academy trust based in Chelmsford, encompassing eight unique schools across Essex. The trust, originally known as The Boswells Academy Trust, changed its name in 2017 to represent the growth beyond a single school. Each school within the trust operates autonomously, maintaining their unique identity, ethos, and leadership teams.
CLP strives to provide an outstanding education for every child within its family of schools. This vision is embodied in its 'Vision, Ethos and Values' document, created by stakeholders, and supported by a five-year strategic approach focusing on growth, governance, resources, people, and schools.
CLP's commitment to values is evident in all it does. It inspires curiosity, overcome learning barriers, deliver outstanding teaching, and build capacity for improvement. These values are regularly reviewed and role-modelled by the senior management teams across all schools.
In terms of day-to-day operations, all Trust policies are readily available on a shared software platform, BlueSky. Each academic year kicks off with a School Development Plan, drawn up by senior management at each school, ensuring that the trust's values lie at the heart of every action.
CLP also strives to maintain a positive company culture through frequent inter-school activities and remote meetings during joint Trust Training Days and other training initiatives. Despite the challenges of their industry, the trust continues to forge ahead, committed to an ethos of shared learning and collective growth.
