The Big Life Group, a transformative organisation, has its roots embedded deeply in community service and has been changing lives since the early nineties. Starting from Manchester's inner-city communities, it has now grown across the north of England. With over 500 dedicated staff, the organisation provides services in health and wellbeing, skills and employment, and children and families sector. It's distinguishing factor is that it is powered by people who have personally experienced the issues they now help others to overcome.
The Big Life Group's commitment to its community and employees shone brightly during the pandemic. The organisation set up a food bank and provided meals to the shielding and vulnerable groups. At the same time, The Big Life Group took care of its employees by extending its wellbeing services and providing a platform for them to connect and share their experiences. The organisation even ensured its staff were included in discussions around important social issues such as the Black Lives Matter movement.
The Big Life Group also runs a unique programme for new managers called the Confident Manager training programme. This course helps managers lead with the organisation's core values at heart. Recognising the efforts of the staff, The Big Life Group hosted an annual award ceremony where the CEO personally delivered trophies to the winners.
