Stowe Family Law prides itself on its spirit. “We love what we do, and it always shines through,” says the family law specialists – the only national firm dedicated to family matters, helping people navigate divorce and child arrangement through to surrogacy and adoption.

The Leeds-based firm’s theme of ‘here to help’ continues in its approach to its almost 300-strong team. It supports employees to work flexibly. They’re free to work from home three days a week and around fitness classes, the school run or other caring demands.

And the company is committed to maintaining its strong positive culture and keeping its employees connected in this dynamic working environment.

It encourages staff to use Microsoft Teams for informal catch-ups and ‘water cooler moments’ as well as meetings. And its intranet site is just as much a forum for user-generated content – such as ‘pets on desks’ and shout-outs to colleagues for a job well done – as it is a source for corporate news and information.

Meanwhile, the new HR system ensures managers regularly check in with their teams to see how they’re feeling. And the quarterly ‘All Hands’ live webinars are an opportunity for employees to ask questions of the CEO and senior leadership team.

And with female employees making up around eight in 10 of Stowe’s workforce, it’s no surprise that the firm is committed to menopause awareness and support. It’s signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge, and through a specialist provider, all staff can access live chat, information and a trained menopause nurse.
