Animal charities Dogs Trust and Born Free are among those that have benefited from free advice from business consultancy Q5 Partners. As a response to the Covid pandemic, Pop-up Consulting was launched to help charities and small businesses to maximise their potential.

The company is committed to tackling economic inequality and, since March 2020, has given 2,400 hours of advice to more than 85 organisations, earning it the Lord Mayor of London's Social Impact award.

The success of the scheme means it is now part of the business model of the company, which was set up in 2009. Q5 helps to nurture good organisational health so that high-performing organisations can remain at the top of their game, and those that are struggling can take action and improve.

It operates from London, Leeds and Cardiff, in Britain, and has international offices in New York, Sydney, Hong Kong, Melbourne and the Middle East.

The company says that what makes it unique among its competitors is its method of solving clients' problems. It recognises that organisational health is complex and takes an individual approach to each project, whether the client has a strategic conundrum, market opportunity, or operational gripe.

Q5 combines the art and science of organisational health to ensure clients' success. It applies science through methodologies and data, but the art is in understanding that organisations are made up of human beings with complex fears and hopes. For the consultancy to help its clients, it must blend both.
