Jointly founded in Manchester and Jaipur in India, the business now has more than 350 staff, two-thirds of whom are UK-based.

And the company is using its AI know-how to give back too. It's helped charity network FareShare – which fights hunger and food waste by redistributing surplus food to charities – to get the right food to the right places at the right time.
Its tech solutions have helped the network manage a variety of uncertainties. A solution that leverages statistical theories of inventory optimisation helps track which goods it has too much or not enough of.
It also created a portal that, at a click of a button, generates impact reports so FareShare donors can see the value of their support.
Peak is about 'giving back' internally too. It invited all team members on an all-expenses-paid trip to Switzerland – complete with snow sports and chocolate making – as a thank-you for their hard work.
And day-to-day, staff can work flexibly, with two days from home and control of their working hours. They can also work from anywhere for two weeks a year, combining it with two weeks' leave for a whole month out of the office 'clubhouse'.
