Bosses at project and programme management specialists P2 Consulting took over the planning and organisation of the Christmas celebrations sourcing food and wine for hampers which they packed and shipped to employees in the UK, France, Spain and Italy adding a personal note of thanks for all their efforts in 2020.
Based in London with offices in Glasgow, Los Angeles, and New York, P2 works on some of the largest business transformation programmes in the public sector and corporate world across areas including retail, financial services, media and telecommunications.
One of the fastest growing consultancies, it helps organisations tackle complex challenges from preventing cybercrime to planning for Brexit and managing mergers.
Team spirit is nurtured through quarterly social events and in place of the normal face to face gatherings virtual events were organised and hosted by senior management. Packages including games, snacks and drinks were sent to employees' homes beforehand with activities ranging from interactive quizzes, games and live entertainment from a comedian.
P2 develops its staff through internal and external training and informal knowledge sharing including its lunch and learn and webinar series. All employees have career managers and last year the firm launched the P2 Houses designed to provide a cross grade informal gathering place for employees to organise activities, network with colleagues, share ideas, raise concerns and seek support.
Staff have been allowed to use the monthly wellness allowance previously used for gym memberships or wellness treatments to improve their home workspace.

Several informal societies been formed including a Strava group who cycle, run and walk to quizzers, Scrabble players and a Fantasy Premier League. P2 has offered free laptops to employees whose children require them for home schooling and has continued to send staff birthday and special event hampers.
This organisation has a strong social conscience
A company-wide bingo night and virtual fundraising events including quiz nights, a charity auction and best and worst Christmas Jumper competitions raised £2,606 for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Alzheimer's Society. Two company-wide competitions - bike riding in June and running in July - brought in £577 for the NHS.
