National Car Parks (NCP) are the UK's largest and longest-standing private car park operator, with more than 150,000 spaces in more than 500 car parks, London Underground and National Rail stations. Founded in 1931 as a small operation in West London, they took shape in 1957 when NCP were acquired by Central Car Parks. Today, NCP have 1,000 staff under Chief Executive Officer Jo Cooper and a turnover of £650m. Since August 2017, NCP have been owned by Park24, a Japanese company, and the Development Bank of Japan.
