The team at creative agency, MadeBrave, don't have to come into the studio, but if they don’t, they may miss out on a treat.
The company gives staff the freedom to work from wherever is best for them, meaning its world-class studio in Glasgow is now simply a destination for the brand, rather than a location the team are required to work from. The team can also work from their locations in Edinburgh and London.
MadeBrave has implemented a non-mandatory "two days a week in the studio” suggestion and 40% of staff have taken it up, saying it has had a positive impact on their wellbeing.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2022, MadeBrave has also improved its pay policy, ensuring its team has access to a progression plan. It has promoted ten people in the last year.
MadeBrave is big on company culture, bringing its brand values to life through creative projects such as murals, films, and animations. One such value, ‘Be Your Weird Self,’ champions people on the team being their true selves, versus trying to fit in.
The company says: “For us, the thing about being ‘weird’ is that no one is weird in the same way, so we're free to bring our whole selves to work every day”.
Another brand value, ‘Amigos Without Egos,’ encourages the team to collaborate openly and work together to come up with the best ideas for its clients.
