Liquid's four-day working week is helping boost productivity and work-life balance at the creative consultancy, meaning employees don't have to waste their weekends doing life admin.
With a team more than 30-strong, the Birmingham-based agency delivers PR, marketing, social, digital and content creation for clients, including Aston Villa Football Club and Quebec's maple syrup producers.
And Liquid's 32-hour week, which staff can do over four or five days, has largely gone unnoticed by clients who "were impressed by the maintained if not improved efficiency and quality of work." The agency supports this new way of working through a rota system, ensuring staff can manage all accounts effectively.
The team at the multi-award-winning consultancy also enjoys other perks, including a daily healthy breakfast of fruit, granola and yoghurt laid on by its development kitchen chef. And there's a weekly online yoga session with a dedicated area and yoga mats for those taking part in the office.
Liquid supports its team to work effectively together and individually. It recently restructured its working groups to ensure a mixture of people across different levels and areas of the business. It also introduced hot-desking to encourage mixing across teams and skills development.
And the office layout, with an allotment area, development kitchen, meeting rooms, and soundproof pods, lets staff choose peace and quiet or the hustle and bustle of the office environment.
