Key Training is an apprenticeship training provider which recruits unemployed young people and places them in permanent office jobs. Since it was founded in 1965, it has grown to be one of the most successful businesses of its kind.
With a vision to ignite possibilities for organisations and individuals and futureproof skills for long term success, Key Training understands the importance of personal development. The Management Development Programme, which has ten progressive stages, is open to all staff who show interest in managing. Starting with individual profiling, it moves through topics such as knowledge, skills and behaviours of effective leaders, communications, situational leadership and building a strong personal brand, all with one-to-one coaching.
The four company values of 'Determination', 'Dedication', 'Drive', and 'Duty' were at the forefront when the organisation made the major transformation to a fully digital delivery service model as a result of the pandemic, with senior managers providing unrelenting support to their teams to help them navigate the change. 80% of employees are now working from home permanently.
Senior managers like to innovate. Recruitment has also moved online through video adverts and video applications submitted through cloud-based software with candidates recording answers to a series of questions. Feedback from applicants has been positive, with many saying this use of technology helps them to start building relationships from the beginning.
