To celebrate getting back together again, business software developer Intuit threw a return-to-work party for staff last year and launched hybrid working. The company, whose UK office is in Victoria, London, employs more than 300 staff here.

Its range of desktop and cloud-based software helps accountants, small businesses, the self-employed and individuals manage their finances. Its products include Quickbooks, the fastest-growing and number-one accounting software in the UK, and Mailchimp.

The company is passionate about creating an environment where all staff feel a sense of belonging, and where everyone feels as though they can bring their whole selves to work. It believes in creating an inclusive workforce that is representative of its diverse customers. Nearly half of its executives are women and, by the end of this year, its goal is to have 35% of tech roles filled by women.

As a response to the inequality of job opportunities in some communities caused by rapid technological, environmental and societal shifts, the business set up its Prosperity Hub Programme, which works to address these challenges by creating job opportunities in underserved communities. It has eight Prosperity Hubs globally, including in Newcastle in the UK.

Despite growing into a company of more than 9,000 staff across eight countries on five continents, Intuit has always aimed to maintain the mindset of a start-up, coupled with the strength of experience of a global business.
