Harbour Rock Capital provides regulated financial advice and fund management services to clients in the advice gap, who are looking to access their pension funds from the age of 55 up to state pension age and beyond.
The business was originally conceived following the implementation of the Pension Freedoms legislation by the UK government in 2015. For the first time, this allowed people the freedom to access their pension funds in the way they choose to, through any combination of tax-free cash, income drawdown and secure annuity income, amongst others.
Harbour Rock Capital was subsequently authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority in early 2017 and now provides regulated financial advice and fund management services to over 12,000 clients on over £½ billion of pension assets.
Through its Pension Access brand, Harbour Rock Capital focuses on providing its services to clients in the so-called “advice gap” – people who do not have access to financial advice as they don’t have sufficient assets to make it viable for the traditional face to face model – through remotely delivered services and the use of technology.
