Ellison's have been a B2B supplier of beauty and hair products, treatments, equipment, furniture and training to salons, spas and colleges for over 80 years. The organisation employ's over 120 people plus temporary staff, all of which follow five core principles on a daily basis: Passionate; Honest; Innovative; Ethical; Supportive; and Professional. To ensure that these principles are continuously followed, the organisation have them embedded on intranet sliders and on department walls. They also introduce them at on-boarding for new colleagues. Ellison's ask employees to give examples of how they have lived these principles in 1-2-1 meetings and appraisals as a way for employees to showcase their continued efforts. As a way of saying thank you to all employees for their efforts, Ellison's have improved their benefits package. Employees have 35 days holiday, and are closed for over a week at Christmas. They have discounted health cash plans, paid leave for medical appointments and four weeks sick pay for all employees.
