Connection Support, established in 1995, is a mission-driven organisation working tirelessly to combat homelessness and support vulnerable individuals. With a dedicated team of 200 employees across Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes, and Buckinghamshire, it offers specialist services to over 4000 people annually, in areas such as homelessness, mental health, and support for refugees.
Connection Support's ethos is rooted in empowerment, collaboration, compassion, and personalisation. These values inform every aspect of its work, from client interactions to employee engagement. It firmly believe in fostering a values-led working environment. Regular workshops, led by the CEO, ensures that all employees understand and embody these core values.
The leadership team, known for their approachability, is dedicated to reinforcing these values and maintaining an inclusive, supportive work culture. The 'Hive' interactive intranet platform, along with monthly social lunches and bi-monthly staff meetings, create a connected community within the organisation.
Connection Support also prioritises staff wellbeing and job satisfaction. The recent 'Prevention First' strategy, developed through extensive consultations, has revolutionised its approach to recruitment, training, and volunteer involvement. The strategy has been enthusiastically embraced, with workshops held across the organisation to ensure everyone understands their role within this new framework.
The organisation's commitment to its mission and values, coupled with their focus on employee wellbeing and engagement, make Connection Support an inspiring place to work. Its passionate team, backed by a supportive leadership, work together to make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable individuals it serves.
