Founded as part of the Government's reorganisation, Broadland District Council's culture is embedded into their every day - focusing on the customer, and efficiency. Their values were formally articulated over 25 years ago and have stood the test of time with some modification, but remain true to be a caring employer who delivers effective public services. Broadland believes that they are one of the Best Companies to work for as they engage with staff to understand what is important to them and appreciate that what is important changes throughout their lives and careers. They also believe that a new employee's first day at work is one of their most important in their careers. Their aim is that at the end of an employee's' first day, they will go home pleased that they made the decision to join the council and look forward to their new role.
