B&CE Holdings help improve the financial welfare for those working in construction and provide workplace pensions for employers of all sizes and sectors. They have been providing simple financial products for more than 75 years and have been providing pensions for 30 years. In 2017, the company helped to manage assets worth upwards of £2.8 billion for more than 3 million members, made up of more than 70,000 employer clients. The organisation was founded by unions and employer federations because construction workers, who tended to move jobs frequently, needed a way to build up holiday pay. They created the People's Pension, which has a Defaqto five-star rating for auto-enrolment, and their Charitable Trust, which was setup to help construction industry workers in need, has paid out over £3 million so far. The Chief Executive Patrick Heath-Lay has been with the organisation since 1985. Their headquarters are in Crawley, West Sussex.
