Every day almost 12 million air passengers are impacted by changes to their journey and every week more than 9,000 flights are cancelled. Global travel data provider, OAG, helps airports and airlines keep one step ahead of disruption using the world's largest network of schedules, and status data, connection times and leading-edge analytics tools.
Data collected from every journey, every booking, every take-off and landing, departure and delay is consolidated and curated into predictive tools to help its clients design innovative products, responsive services and seamless experiences.
Headquartered in the UK, the Luton-based private sector company was founded in 1929 as the Official Aviation Guide and operates in the USA, Singapore, Japan, Lithuania and China, working with clients in more than 114 countries.
The last year has been turbulent for everyone in the travel industry which has been particularly hit hard by the pandemic. However, OAG weathered the storm thanks to collaborative staff getting onboard with its plans to protect the business by introducing a temporary pay cut and giving them the chance become investors in the business. Instead of having the deduction repaid in full, 80% of staff globally signed up to the new Employee Transaction Bonus Scheme.
Honesty, transparency and strong collaboration are hallmarks of the OAG culture. During the pandemic chief executive, Phil Callow, took a personal approach, having at least one informal video call with every employee. He also sent personal hand-written notes along with small gifts to show his appreciation for #TeamOAG.

In addition to weekly wellbeing webinars and regular wellbeing surveys the firm organised a wide range of fun events to boost team spirit with virtual activities including horse racing, a Family Fortunes game show, photo competitions, a Quarantine Kitchen OAG cook-a-long, and quiz nights.
This organisation has a strong social conscience
