Improving Your Experience With Best Companies

Our primary purpose here at Best Companies is to help make the world a better workplace, and one of the many ways we make this is happen is by ensuring that the services and products we provide are also better and more suited to your needs year after year.

So, how are we improving your experience with us in 2024?

Listening to your feedback

Firstly, we are very grateful to the organisations that have provided us with feedback on our services and products that they used throughout the past year. Our Innovation team has been reviewing your observations, ensuring that we fully understand how we can enhance your experience with us and continue to help you improve your engagement levels and organisational health.

Based on your feedback, we identified several key areas that we have decided to develop in 2024. These include making it easier to manage your surveys, improving the speed and ease of uploading your employee data, and providing more clarity about what your selected survey includes.

Not only are we grateful for your feedback on how we can make our services even better, but also for helping us to contribute to several incredible charities. We were able to donate £10 for every survey response we received throughout 2023, resulting in donations totalling over £1300 across several charities including Shelter, The Trussell Trust, RSPCA, Cancer Research, and UNICEF!

A brand-new survey setup dashboard

The first improvement that we have made is to completely reimagine the survey setup dashboard, making it easier for you to navigate the app and find your tasks. We have also taken steps to increase the clarity of your engagement project status with key project information highlighted.

Starting with the way you manage your tasks, we’ve introduced a new Manage Survey page. This page provides you with a task list of everything you need to do to setup, launch, and rollout your Workplace Insight and MC³ apps. All these tasks have been relocated to one place where they have been categorised, making it easier to understand which tasks contribute to which steps in your engagement project.

Furthermore, we’ve added status cards to your Manage Survey page. These cards help to highlight key information about your project, including your next recommended task, the overall project completion rates, and how long you have left until launch. These status cards are dynamic and provide specific information based on where you are within your engagement project, whether you’re setting up your survey, wating for your survey results, or if you’re ready to start rolling out your Insight products.

Another new page has also been introduced to the survey setup dashboard. This new home page allows you to easily navigate to current or previously completed surveys, allowing you to seamlessly switch between and compare them.

The final major change that we have made to the survey setup dashboard is to its aesthetic. We have updated the look and feel of the app by introducing a brand-new navigation menu, colour scheme, and UI to improve the user experience and to bring the app in line with our other latest products.

A brand-new employee uploader tool

The next set of developments we have made for 2024 are to the employee uploader tool. We’ve significantly improved the way you upload your people data within the survey setup, making it easier and quicker for you to provide us with the employees that you want to survey. This process is now much more efficient, saving you time and enabling you to launch your b-Heard survey quicker. Whether you have 100 or 10,000 employees, our new uploader tool allows you to seamlessly upload all your employee data in seconds.

Moreover, you no longer need to format your employee upload file to a specific layout. We’ve added intelligent recognition to the employee uploader so it can understand which columns of data should be mapped to which field, while also adapting to key changes to your data, making it even easier to manage any modifications and which saves you significant time pre-upload.

Any further changes that you require to make post-upload can be done so easily within the app itself, with notifications and help messages that highlight any employees or groups that need attention.

An improved survey builder tool

Our final set of improvements for 2024 are some key changes that we have made to the survey builder tool. There are several changes within the app which make it easier for you to build the survey for your organisation or employment group(s).

The first development we have made to the survey builder tool is to greatly enhance the clarity of what statements and questions your survey will include. The 24 core survey statements and your comment questions now appear within the builder. We have also made it easier for you to add and remove statements from your survey, and you are further able to see which one of our 8 Factors of Engagement these statements belong to; enabling you to better tailor your survey experience to your organisation.

Finally, you are now able to preview your survey as you’re building it. This enables you to see what your employees will see in the exact same format when they are completing the b-Heard survey themselves. By being able to preview the survey as you go, you will also be able to save time without having to send demonstration surveys every time you decide to make a change.

All About Accreditation

Finally, we have updated how we celebrate and showcase all of the incredible achievements that you and other organisations have made towards employee engagement.

Your feedback told us that the quarterly league table approach confused some organisations and the general feeling was that there was too much emphasis on quarterly competition rather than building a sense of community.

As such, we have removed the quarterly competitive league table elements, with a focus now on meeting the standard of Accreditation to create a more inclusive community. All Accredited organisations will be published on our website, searchable by size, sector and region.

We’re also continuing with The Top 100 Best Companies to Work For lists. This means that you'll receive an official national, regional, and sectoral list position at the end of each year.

A better experience than ever before in 2024

This concludes the changes that we have made so far for the new year. We are excited to see how these changes, based on your feedback, are received and how they have helped you to better implement the survey process with those of your own.

Of course, we know that the journey to perfection never stops, and we are constantly looking out for any further improvements that we make to make our services, and your experience with us, even better. If you have any thoughts you’d like to share then please contact us.
