Survey data is fundamental in establishing strengths and weakness in engagement levels, but looking at question or factor scores alone only is too insular and can leave your organisation open to missed opportunities for improvement. Benchmarking gives you the chance to compare your scores internally and externally, to fully understand where focus should be directed.

Within Workplace Insight Pro, your survey results can be compared to a range of benchmarks that will highlight key areas of strength and weakness in comparison tables – which enable up to two benchmark comparisons in a single view and the ability to make comparison by any demographic!

With an easy to understand user interface, you will first be presented with your stretch benchmark; a key measure that gives ambitious but achievable bridges to gap in order to reach the next level of employee engagement. The comparison functionality will then allow you to look at various other external benchmarks including those made up of organisations of a similar size and sector, giving you valuable insight into the wider context of your results – understanding whether your challenges are unique to you or something being experienced across the board. Data is colour-graded to emphasise the significance of the comparisons, making it easy to determine what to focus on improving at both an organisation-wide and team-level perspective.

Comparisons can also be made against the most engaged organisations in the UK; those who make the Best Companies to Work For Lists and those at our highest level of accreditation. Understanding where these organisations excel will enable you to aim to become the best!

If you have used the b-Heard survey before, comparisons can be made against any previous survey data, to ensure you can measure and quantify your progress. We can also create bespoke benchmarks should you want to compare your results against a specific group of organisations.
