Fair Deal - How happy employees are with pay and benefits
Fair Deal itself doesn’t directly influence another factor. It’s classified as a hygiene factor. Sure, doubling everybody’s salary would make them happy but it wouldn’t make them feel any better about factors such as leadership and management.
Now although pay is not an engager, it is important that pay and benefits are at the right level as to not disengage employees further.
Senior leaders engaged with employees through group communications, wellbeing surveys, and people-led engagement initiatives. Over Black Friday, THG ran a four-day remote programme including a virtual DJ set, karaoke and games challenges, and sent out care packages to everyone's homes.
THG shared the results of the Best Companies survey with a You Said, We Did article on the intranet. In response to employee feedback internal and external training provision was enhanced and there is now an uncapped benefits package; agile and flexible working policies, and the ability to buy additional annual leave days
All employees are eligible for a biannual bonus scheme, with the ability to be awarded with a bonus of up to 20% of their salary. THG has also recently awarded a number of people who have gone above and beyond in their role with shares in the company.
